Configuring Microsoft Internet Explorer for TAIPAN

At this time, full TAIPAN collaborations are only configured for Microsoft Internet Explorer. You will need to install Active X plugins (need administrative rights) and allow TAIPAN into your trusted zones. Other browsers will work but you will not be able to recieve video feeds.

First, download the from ftp://www.global-i.net/LiveVideoPlugIns.zip. The package contains three files, CollabPatch, CollabActiveX, Intatallation Guide. Follow the installation guide to install the Active X modules.

Next, launch your Internet Explorerer browser and apply the configuration below.

When ready to collaborate or download data, click on the "Collaboration" or "Data Search" buttons to log on to Taipan. An authentication window will open to ask for your credentials.

Note: You can download data with Firefox or Safari without installing the Active X modules but you will not be able to view the video feed.
